Kent Swarts: The Texas Medicine Murders

The Texas Medicine Murders
A Denny McConnell PI Mystery Book 3
$4.99

If I had been on time to pick up Liza, we might have prevented Gwen’s murder.

However, on the way to get Liza for our first date, I had a flat tire and called her to say I’d be late. When I arrived, we had agreed to meet at Gwen’s, I saw Gwen’s limp body in a swing, the knife still buried in her gut. Liza sat by her, sobbing. A week later, Liza was murdered.

Everything seemed to tie to the genetically engineered cancer treatment being developed by Genetics Medicine Company in Las Colinas, Texas. The case became really complicated when plans for fissionable material were stolen from a nuclear development facility. Liza, I found, was implicated in the theft.

With two murders and more people with motives for wanting the pair dead, it was like playing chess with the king only one square away from checkmate. And I was the King.
